Miami-Dade County Public Schools' Department of Mental Health Services was established in July 2018 to enhance the coordination of District and community resources to deliver evidence-based mental health care for students. Click on the link to access mental health services provided by the district.
As supporting the social, emotional, and mental well-being of students remains priority, the Office of Mental Health and Student Services has created an informational brochure to provide resources to parents/guardians detailing both school and community services available for students as well as 24-hour contact information for crisis support.
MDCPS has a top concern and priority to help families in need during these very difficult times. So many families are facing difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Project Up-Start is a MDCPS program that assists families by providing additional resources and services to students and their families who are experiencing unstable housing. Including students who are sharing housing due to loss of employment, students living in shelters, public places or in a hotel/motel.
We are asking all parents to complete this form and return to your child's counselor via email before April 13th. Please follow the questions and complete accordingly.
